Alixx is a family business founded in Waterloo, Belgium in 2009 and created by Alix de La Mensbruge. She wanted to produce a candle as beautiful as it smelled. In 2014, Alix decided to cross over the Atlantic and set a new workshop up in Miami, Florida. In 2018, Harlan and Patty Kent became the new owners of the home décor company. Today, Alixx continues to celebrate its European roots and combines the best of European artisan craftsmanship while being made in the United States.

Alixx scented candles and reed diffusers are hand poured, assembled and packed in Massachusetts, USA.

Alixx scents are created by Master Perfumers, which means they are trained experts from the perfume world. Each fragrance is complex and developed to create a unique and delicate experience. Our scents are safe to human health and are prop 65 compliant. Each perfume is composed of essential oils and the ingredients have never been tested on animals.

We use a premium vegetable blend to allow a clean and healthy burn. Our wax is colorless, odorless and has a clean white color – all while allowing the best release of our perfumes.

The Alixx wicks are made of the finest cotton from the United States.

In order to get the best experience out of your Alixx candles, follow these simple steps.

When first lighting the candle, please allow more than an hour of burn time to completely melt the top of the candle. A complete wax pool across the top of the candle will stop the candle from tunneling which can happen if the candle isn’t burned long enough on its first lighting.

Trim the wicks. Wicks should be trimmed to be about 1/8”long.  If a wick is too long, it will have a darker flame and soot can accumulate. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours. After 4 hours, the wicks should be trimmed.

Keep the candle away from air vents, windows or drafts. Uneven air flow causes a candle to tunnel. If you notice the flame flickering, or it appears to be tunneling, move the candle to a place with less air movement.

Pour the fragrance oil into the glass container and add the reed sticks for 5 minutes. Then rotate the sticks so that the bottom of the reeds is now the top. The sticks will soak up the fragranced oil and diffuse the scent into the air. Put your diffuser in a place where there is air flow in order to get the best scented experience. We recommend that you continue to reverse the sticks once a week to prevent the oil from blocking the tiny holes in the reeds.
